I got that X=9.6. The first thing I did was I flipped the top triangle. Then I found corresponding sides. The corresponding side for 6 was 8 (side), the corresponding side for 8 (bottom smaller one) was 12.8, and the corresponding side for 5 was X. So then I figured out the scale factor by dividing 12.8 by 8, and 8 by 6. Both of these equations came out with an answer of 1.6. So, that made 1.6 the scale factor. Then I multiplied 5 by 1.6, and I got 9.6.

The scale factor is 1.6. This is because; you flip the triangles, so they are lined up. If you divide the bigger triangle’s number with the smaller triangle’s number, you get 1.6. Then, you multiply 5x1.6, you get 8. The answer is 8.
