Alex M. & Hank W. had easy to understand, correct math. They had good colors and graphics that made the project look nice. It made me understand this subject and made me want to try it too. I would suggest that the authors try to have less lists and more pictures. The best part of this is the descriptions of how to do all of it and the vocabulary. The only improvement for it would be my suggestions to the authors. They followed the rubric well and did the best on the vocabulary. They need to improve the visionary part of their project. I would give this a low/medium A because of the improvements needed.

The quality of the math at our level and most words were easy to read.
The graphics popped out and made the math more interesting and fun.
One suggestion for the website is to make the letters more readable.
They followed the rubric and they did the best on the questions.
I would give them an A.

The math equations were all properly answered and progressively got more challenging; whish helped the ideas of the math flourish in your head. Proper spelling and grammar allowed the point to easily glide across; however at some points I felt more detail would be sufficient. While the background seemed flamboyant and interesting at first, repeated use left it a droll. However, I felt a want to implement the math into my everyday life. The most intriguing part of the website was the assessment, for it was divided into two parts, which gave it a better impression on me. However the rubric was not followed to the greatest possible extent for some of the requirements were no where to be found. I believe that the practice questions were missing, thus obviously need work. All in all, I would give the report a B, since although it was great, many flaws were to be found

Emily W. and Macayla B. This website was very easy to understand because the makers of the website had proper grammar so you didn't need to struggle to understand what they were explaining. The math in their presentation was correct math. The graphics were very fun, especially how the page designs were set up. They had bright colors that really grab the reader’s attention. The only suggestion I have for the authors is that they should mkae the background a little less exciting so the reader doesn't get distracted by the pretty background. Though, this does also work as a compliment, for the graphics and presentation are very good. The best part of the website

TD and BV 6th grade:

1.) I believe that the math was okay. The basic math was good, but it seemed as though that I learned more from what I was taught by the teacher. The lesson seemed to be repeating over and over, just teaching us the same thing. However, I did find the math explained simply and it was easy to understand.

2.) Actually, the graphics within this presentation were nice, and it did make me want to try the math. The good use of coordinate grids and word art made a nice and fun looking presentation.

3.) The suggestions that I would give the authors would be this: Having less information is worse than having more. I would recommend that they put more information onto their presentation.

4.) The only parts of the rubric that I found fault in was the ten clear assessment questions. The authors tried to pass of five more questions at the end of their PowerPoint in addition to the five that they had at the beginning as a final exam. The two did best on giving other resources so that students could look for more information on the topic. (Trust me they would need to.) The authors do need to improve on creating final, and pre-quizzes.

Final over-all grade = B

The quality of the math was at our level and it would be easy to learn if I didn’t know about coordinate grids. The graphics on this project were outstanding. If I were someone who wanted to learn about coordinate grids, this would be a place that I would want to look at. I actually wanted to try out the problems. The site was almost perfect. The only thing that I would suggest is to add interactive test. The beat part of the site is probably the whole site. The only part of the site that needed improvement was the next page buttons. They were only one off. They followed the rubric to every last point. Like I said, everything was good. I would give this site an A because everything was well put.

Who are you talking about?
A.M. and H.W. Period 6

What do you think of the content?
The lesson that they were teaching was very comprehensive and easy to understand. The quality of the math was suitable for six graders; it was not too hard and not too simple for future six graders to learn.

Did it grab your attention?
There weren’t much graphics, but there was an okay media. The PowerPoint wouldn’t really interest me to try math that much, however I thought that it had a great way of providing practice problems.

What suggestions do you have?
I would suggest that the authors should add something more exciting for the student watching the slide show. I believe that the best part of the presentation was giving the student the availability to see whether they got the correct answer, or an incorrect answer. I think that the media may need a little bit of improvement because it would make it more fun for the viewer.

What about the rubric?
They followed the rubric pretty accurately in the sense of teaching the actual lesson, which they did best at. Again I feel that an improvement should be catching the onlooker’s attention.

What grade would you give you site?
I would give this presentation an A as a letter grade because of a great lesson teaching and overall substantial production. I don’t think that a 100% would be necessary, because it was not too interesting to me.

Questions:

Who are you talking about?
• WO and JD, 6th grade

What do you think of the content?
• The quality wasn’t at its best because the math felt rushed even though it was explained on about 5 pages. The website made me want to learn what was on it, but the math wasn’t explained in as much detail as it could’ve been.
• The material could be understood but not as well as it could’ve been because of the little details on how to solve the problems.

Did it grab your attention?
• The graphics and drawing were cute and added humor to the website and the project.
• The way the website was set up, I was more focused on the pictures than the actual work.

What suggestions do you have?
• I would suggest keeping the pictures to a smaller amount.
• I think the test questions were very well planned out because they were both challenging and they targeted key areas needed to be known about the concept.
• I think the diagrams could be explained in more detail.

What about the rubric?
• They included everything needed on the rubric.
• The additional requirements part of the rubric was the part demonstrated in the project.
• The assessment part of the rubric could be better demonstrated in the project.

What grade would you give you site?
• B because of the minimum of how to work out the problems and the small amount of teachings of the concept.

The quality if the site was awesome. The site was easy to understand. The graphics were alright. It made me want to do the math. Suggestions are to make the site eye popping. The best part was how they put together the site. The graphics needed improvement. They followed the rubric well. I think that they did best on was the practice problems. They needed to add a bibliography. I would give them a B because on the bibliography.

2. I think that the content was great! It was very educational, yet entertaining. The info was easy to understand, but could have been simpler.

3. The graphics were good, and made it much more interesting to watch. I think it did make you want to try it out it kept you very interested.

4. My suggestions would be to have less vibrant backgrounds. Although it kept you interested, it was a little bit distracting. I liked that you had a lot of examples.

5. They followed the rubric pretty well. They did the best on presentation. I don’t think they needed to work on anything.

6. A. They covered everything they needed to, but kept it interesting.

It was a very enjoyable site packed with information yet with a lot of ideas and creepy animation. I would totally recommend this for the puny 6th grade honors! It was brilliant! They had a good choice to pick wix as their website creator. The graphics were hilarious and for some reason motivated me to do their math problems! I don’t have any necessarily bad comments; I would just say “keep making websites!” I would give them an A+, because they did a beautiful website and did great in everything.

There were no clashing hues between font and background causing no strain on the eyes to read. The math was correctly solved and displayed in a neat, readable format. However, the graphics were dull and lifeless, and with the repeating statements you couldn’t help but be bored. I would suggest to the authors of this PowerPoint to simply revise for content. The most interesting part of the website was the vocabulary page, for it was by far the most informative. And the worst portion of the power point would be the bibliography, for it was separated in two. I could no help but be confused at an inconceivable extent. No matter what, they followed the rubric step by step and evenly covered all of the data.

What Do You Think?
-What does state your evidence mean?!?! State your evidence means you must give a detailed explanation for why you think what you think. You may NOT only say, “They did a good job!” or “It was horrible!” You must back up your thoughts with evidence about WHY they did a good job.

Questions:

Who are you talking about?

What do you think of the content?
• The quality of the math was good but there was only two Q’s and A’s for the quiz and same for the practice.
• No it was not easy to understand at all because they were jumping around from place to place and it just made it really confusing. And they did not state the vocabulary needed with definitions until the end of the power point.

Did it grab your attention?
• The graphics were ok but they could have done better it was very dull backgrounds and they were the same throughout the whole thing.
• It dint make me want to do the math or try it out because they didn’t make it seem very exciting and the backgrounds were so dull it made me tired.
What suggestions do you have?
• I would suggest to the authors to change up the backgrounds. I say to do this because it changes the mood of the audience and right now your backgrounds are to dull and tiring.
• The best part of this was the math and info on the subject.
• The how to needed some improvement because it was to confusing and needed more info.
What about the rubric?
• Yes they followed the rubric
• They did best on the bibliography.
• They need to improve on the how to and the test.

What grade would you give you site?
A low b or a high c because they really needed improvement on the how to the backgrounds and the test.

WO and JD The math quality is good, I mean there are no mistakes that I found when checking their math. It is easy to understand, and not too hard for a grade lowers then ourselves to understand it. The graphics really grab the reader’s attention. For the background is colorful, and there are movement in the graphics that would want the reader to read more about the math. I would suggest to the authors to not make the presentation too distracting and get the reader off topic. The best part of the site was when they explained the grids on double grids because they had an excellent explanation for explaining the double grids. The part of the site that needs improvement is the fact that they have very funny, but distracting backgrounds. They did not fully follow the rubric because they do not have a vocabulary page. I give this site a B because some things they did not do.

The math was of poor quality and the equations given were impossible to understand.

The background was bland, although it allowed the test to be extremely east to read. I felt no incline to try the math.

I strongly advise the author of this power point to check the rubric, for many of it’s requirements are missing. The best part of the site was the test, which was much better than the instructions on how to solve the problems.

The portion of the rubric that needs the most work would be the instructions, however the assessment was great.

All in all, I would give a C

It was very easy to understand, simple and has pictures to demonstrate the subject. I have to admit, they could’ve done a little better in the graphics, it was a little boring. I think they could’ve done better on grabbing the readers attention, it did not make me want to try the math. My suggestions are to have listed what a Pythagorean Theorem is, and to have made the graphics more exciting. The best part of their PowerPoint was the examples because they were easy to follow and very detailed. They did follow the rubric. I would give them an A.

Who are you talking about?
A.B. and L.R.

What do you think of the content?
The quality of the math definitely seems advanced enough for me to learn. I just can’t wait to learn all of those things. If you go over the site slowly you can comprehend it easily. It was very self-explanatory and easy to catch onto.

Did it grab your attention?
The media grabbed my attention without a doubt! It was unique, and the graphics were very fun noticeable. I totally want to try math now! It seems fun, interesting, and motivating.

What suggestions do you have?
I suggest that the authors should just take one more look at the spelling to overview their presentation; otherwise I thought it was fantastic. The best part of the site was the lesson and media. They incorporated many fun qualities in the site and included a variety of different features about the topic. I believe that only reviewing to make sure that there were no spelling errors or misplacement's needed some improvement, and that’s all.

What about the rubric?
They followed the rubric almost perfect, except for one tiny spelling error that just needed that of improvement. They did best on explaining the lesson in a very fun way for students to learn how to about rational and irrational numbers.

What grade would you give you site?
I would give this sit an A+ because I honestly believed it was the absolute perfect site, all except for a misspelled word. This site was awesome!!

Evaluations

6th:
R. T. and E. B. had good math quality that was easy to understand. They had great graphics and made math seem fun. I would suggest to the authors a little more spell check and some more interesting things. The best part of this website was the way they taught the subject through an animation named deerskin. They need to improve on spelling and following the rubric. They missed things like vocabulary, why should they learn this and spelling. They did very well on the how to and the practice. They need to improve on the missing things as I said in the suggestions and for the rubric. I would give this project a B for all the above reasons.

7th:
H. H. and S. A. had great quality math that was easy to understand. This project didn’t have very many graphics but nicely colored writing and interesting pictures. It made me want to learn how to do the material and it even taught me how. I would suggest that the authors have possibly more pictures and or backgrounds. I really liked how they made their descriptions and explanations make sense. The only things I think needed improvement were what my suggestions were and possibly a nicer font that did not make the colored font look like too much. They followed the rubric well and did a great job on their explanations. I would give this project an A for all these reasons.

8th
A. L. and S. R. had good math quality that was pretty easy to understand. This project had no graphics and few pictures. It made it simple to learn the subject but it didn’t exactly catch my eye. I would suggest that the authors include more visuals and possibly more interesting text. More color and or backgrounds would be nice, too. I liked how they used word art and how some things were almost so obvious it was funny. They had good descriptions and explanations. They needed to improve the things I wrote of in my suggestions. These reasons are why I would give this project a B.

8th Honors
A. M. and C. C. had good quality math that was well explained so understanding it was semi-simple. This project had good graphics and models, but the side graphics were slightly distracting. They made it easy to learn. I would suggest to the authors to make their website a little easier to make their way through with less back buttons and more menus that stay on every page. They had good descriptions and explanations though. I liked how they made the learning fun, easy, slow, and smooth. I think they need to improve on the things I suggested. For these reasons, I would give this project an A.

It was very easy to understand, you know what they’re talking about. I have no comment about the math quality. The graphics were boring, it did not make me want to try the math. I would say to the authors, explain more about the topic, get better graphics, check your math, and follow the rubric better. The best part of the site was the bibliography, at least they did that right. They needed to improve on almost everything, they need how-tos they need to explain how to do the problem! They need to take a second look at the rubric and totally re-do everything. I would give them a d because of their lack of following the directions.

Who are you talking about?
A.W. & B.K.B. (period NOT stated)8th grade

What do you think of the content?
The quality of the math was fairly understandable and advanced enough for students entering the 8th
grade.

Did it grab your attention?
The graphics didn’t really stand out a lot. It wouldn’t really make me want to try what they are trying to teach that much, because it doesn’t really seem that interesting.

What suggestions do you have?
I suggest that the authors needed some improvement to make it more noticeable. The graphics weren’t really that enjoyable. The best part of the site would be the way they taught the lesson.

What about the rubric?
They followed the rubric appropriately enough. They did best on the “how to’s” and explaining. They may have needed some improvement on the practice problems.

What grade would you give you site?
I would give them an A because they followed your given instructions on the rubric.

It did grab my attention, and I wanted to try to math from it. I have no suggestions for the authors. The best part of the site was explanations, it was very detailed. They needed to add a answer document, I didn’t see one. They did follow the rubric, and I would give an A because they were organized, detailed, and their math quality was great. MM

Who are you talking about?
E.G. & C.L. p.3 or 4 (8th grade honors)

What do you think of the content?
The quality of the math taught in this lesson was great for an advanced 7th grade class. It was easy to understand because it was taught be steps.

Did it grab your attention?
There weren’t many graphics included in the PowerPoint, but it was not too plain and boring. It did make me want to keep reading and learn about math.

What suggestions do you have?
I suggest that the authors explain the lesson a little bit more, by expanding the presentation which needed some more improvement. The best part of the site was the organization.

What about the rubric?
The authors of the presentation about radicals followed the rubric very well. It doesn’t seem like they missed any things that were supposed to be done. They did best at explaining each and every process about radicals. They needed to do better at giving more information about radicals.

What grade would you give you site?
I would give this site an A because they appeared to follow the directions to create a lesson.

3.the graphics were ok but could be a little more exciting, but it was kind of made me want to do math.

4. I would add more graphics but it wasn’t really good all ready. My favorite slide was all of it. Nothing really needed to be improved.

5. I would give this an “A” because it had all the requirements and it was pretty good.

B.H,
The authors of the power point is B.T. and E.W. They are in grade 6, period 6. The quality of the work in this power point was high. It grabbed my attention and held it through out the presentation. The math work was easily understood. It wasn’t that creative or original but it was well decorated and displayed. It didn’t make me want to do the math, but it made me think about the math. I thought that the best part of the site was the practice problems. You may have needed improvements on the credits and/or the wording you used to explain the concepts. I suggest that you put more credits like websites or books you may have used. Maybe you could have worded the explanations a little different also. Otherwise, you did a wonderful job on the project. You followed the rubric very well.
